Plantation Island Resort, Fiji 

Receives Top Award

Plantation Island Resort, Fiji proudly announces for the third year in a row that they have been recognized as one of the Top 10 Family Resorts by Holidays With Kids Magazine.

Plantation has also recently announced the opening of their Poolside rooms.  There are now 20 poolside rooms each with a patio that faces the brand new swimming pool.  That makes for three pools in total at the resort! 

We now offer air conditioning in our hotel rooms, poolside rooms, and beachfront bures. All hotel rooms at the resort have recently been refurbished with bright and colorful decor.  The rooms are looking absolutely stunning and

Plantation Island Resort has never looked better. The Resort reception area has just been finished, complete with leather sofas, air conditioning and 3 computer terminals for guests internet use.

Sonaisali Island Resort, Fiji

 announces New General Manager

Sonaisali Island Resort, Fiji welcomes Kate McClelland as the new Resort Manager. Kate brings with her a wealth of knowledge and 10 years of dedicated hospitality experience having worked in Resorts, Hotels and remote 5 Star properties worldwide. 

Kate, from Queensland has traveled extensively throughout the Channel Islands, , and .  Kate is delighted to be on the team at Sonaisali Island Resort in her new position and says she is enjoying her new role and living in . 

Sonaisali's dedication toward environmental operations and the importance of maintaining Green Globe 21 Certification inspired Kate to recently attend a Green Globe 21 workshop in Canberra for five days of which Kate received a certificate of Proficiency in Company Green Globe 21 standard.

The Mamanuca Environment Society, of which Sonaisali is a founding member and Kate an Executive Member works toward coral reef protections and is of high priority to both Sonaisali and Kate.  Kate is also the new Vice Chairperson of the Nadi Branch of the Fiji Island Hotel and Tourism Association which represents Hotels and Resorts in the region.

Pictured above are Sonaisali’s newly renovated beachfront hotel rooms – don’t they look fabulous! Sonaisali has also just finished refurbishing the Oceanview and Beachfront Spa Bures, new images will be available for you soon.

Matangi Private Island Resort,

amends room categories

Commencing 1 April 2006 Matangi Private Island Resort has changed the names of the bures as follows:

                   Standard Bures are now called Island Bures

                   Deluxe Bures are now called Beachfront Bures

The resort has also introduced a completely new room category to the list called Villa Matangi; a very private bure, encompassing 2 island bures with lounge/kitchenette and adjoining area.

The main area of Matangi is also undergoing renovations. This eye-catching new facility will host a contemporary restaurant offering a combination of inside and alfresco dinning on a marvelous deck which wraps around the lagoon style swimming pool. We will update you shortly on the completion date.

Vatulele Island Resort

Vatulele Island Resort has recently completed a full renovation of their showers and bathrooms.  This includes installing 2 basins and 2 showerheads so plenty of space for a couple to pamper themselves!  Also Vatulele’s Standard bures have been re-named and from the 1^st of April 2006 are called

Deluxe Beachfront Bures…….as we all know, they were never standard!
