Sonaisali Island Resort, Fiji welcomes Kate McClelland as the new Resort Manager. Kate brings with her a wealth of knowledge and 10 years of dedicated hospitality experience having worked in Resorts, Hotels and remote 5 Star properties worldwide.
Kate, from Queensland has traveled extensively throughout the Channel Islands, , and . Kate is delighted to be on the team at Sonaisali Island Resort in her new position and says she is enjoying her new role and living in

Sonaisali's dedication toward environmental operations and the importance of maintaining Green Globe 21 Certification inspired Kate to recently attend a Green Globe 21 workshop in
Canberra for five days of which Kate received a certificate of Proficiency in Company Green Globe 21 standard.
The Mamanuca Environment Society, of which Sonaisali is a founding member and Kate an Executive Member works toward coral reef protections and is of high priority to both Sonaisali and Kate. Kate is also the new Vice Chairperson of the Nadi Branch of the Fiji Island Hotel and Tourism Association which represents Hotels and Resorts in the region.

Commencing 1 April 2006 Matangi Private Island Resort has changed the names of the bures as follows:
Standard Bures are now called Island Bures
Deluxe Bures are now called Beachfront Bures
The resort has also introduced a completely new room category to the list called Villa Matangi; a very private bure, encompassing 2 island bures with lounge/kitchenette and adjoining area.
The main area of Matangi is also undergoing renovations. This eye-catching new facility will host a contemporary restaurant offering a combination of inside and alfresco dinning on a marvelous deck which wraps around the lagoon style swimming pool. We will update you shortly on the completion date.
