"Mexico & the resort were awesome. The room was spotless and beautiful. The view was great, bed was comfy (firm) and the jacuzzi worked fine. The ONLY complaint we would have with the room was that they had coolers, not refrigerators. There's nothing worse than a warm beer! LOL
The food was good everywhere we went. We were a little bummed that the Mexican restaurant was closed for renovations, but we got some delicious Mexican food in Playa del Carmen. The room service food was delish too! 
The grounds were gorgeous, no complaints. The pools, lounge chairs, beach beds and waiter service was all excellent. Any time we ordered room service or talked to concierge, we were promptly accommodated.  
We did go on an excursion with a company called Adventura Maya, which was a blast. The excursion was called "Tulum XTreme" which consisted of touring Tulum, a Mayan ruin site followed by rappelling, zip lines and snorkeling in a cenote. It was an all day excursion and was great fun. We would recommend it to anyone. 
We also took a free shuttle service the hotel provided to Playa del Carmen for dinner & shopping. The town was very fun and we felt very safe.  
All and all it was an awesome week. We can't thank you and Ellen ENOUGH for recommending the place. We would absolutely go back : )  :
